Fort Building
Fort building is one of those creative play activities that can be done from ages 2 (with lots of help!) up to the teen years.
When my sons were little adventurers, they delighted in creating enchanted forts - whether at school, in our backyard, or right in the heart of our home. I discovered that having supplies neatly tucked away nearby sparked their imaginations, leading to frequent building sprees. Our living room often transformed into a fantastical construction zone, where sofa cushions became sturdy walls, kitchen chairs turned into towering turrets, and every sheet and blanket was draped like the finest silken canopies. Soon, the entire space beneath became a secret hideaway, where they and the neighborhood children would crawl in, bringing along their favorite toys and books, ready to embark on the grandest of adventures.
Our Playclips are small and easy for children to use to build their own magical fort! They will clip and securely hold Playsilks, blankets, and sheets onto tables, chairs and sofas.

In our house, we build forts all over the place! I love that the possibilities are endless but they always include silks! And forts can a place for chosen solitude or for group play. It’s so fun to see their imaginations at work.

I remember building huge forts with fans to keep the sheets up when I was a kid. My daughter is just starting to get to the age where she is starting to build forts too. Her favorite spot right now is in the corner behind our recliner which she will lay all the way back and drape blankets over and put all her toys behind. I would love to see the forts that she and my son would build using this set.

We make forts with furniture, blankets and cushions inside & her slide outside. My daughter is just getting to the age where she wants to build forts and loves having a secret place for her and her toys to hide.

My 2 Littles love to build forts. My oldest is 5 and she tries to turn whole rooms into forts. Her little brother follows along and on more than 1 occasion, has brought the whole thing down. They would love better materials than just chairs and blankets to build with.

My daughter has 3 sturdy cardboard boxes where we’ve cut out panels to leave just a frame. She rearranges them how she wants and drapes giant playsilks and clips them in place. Occasionally I help knot smaller playsilks together for extra coverage. All of her stuffed animals live in her fort and she likes read books to them with her flashlight.
